Substance of a complaint to Truman Smith, 1849 March 13.

Complaint to Smith about government patronage in relation to the position of postmaster in an unnamed city. All positions were going to members of the LocoFoco party due to the influence of a "local gun factory". The author rails against the current postmaster, who in Hartford in 1849 was Normand Lyman.
